Introduction 

The Junior Doctors of Africa (JDA) network is a newly structured body within the World Medical Association (WMA). 

Founded in October 2014 at the 56th General Assembly of the WMA, the JDA’s vision is that of a union focused specifically on the needs of African junior doctors. 

A lack of concrete organization between junior doctors across the continent, as well as a unified voice for the concerns of these health professionals, was identified. The JDA strives to address this.

Le réseau Junior Doctors of Africa (Jeunes Médécins d’Afrique) est un nouvel organisme créé au sein de l’Association médicale mondiale (AMM). Créé en octobre 2014 lors de la 56e Assemblée generals de la AMM, le JDA entend mettre en place en réseau concentré particulièrement  sur les besoins des jeunes médecins africains. Les obstacles identifiés sont notamment le manque d’organisation véritable entre les jeunes médecins du continent et le manque de coordination en matière de communication sur les problèmes qui minent les activités de ces jeunes professionnels. Le JDA entend donc apporter une solution à ces problemes.
